What’s next?

The DIAdIC project is now focusing on the next steps: implementing the two programs (iFOCUS and FOCUS+) we developed for people with cancer and their family caregivers. The project aims to make these programs widely available and see how well they work in real-world situations and in healthcare systems in Europe.

The DIAdIC team has successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of the two programs for people who are facing cancer through research and evaluation. The results have shown the positive impact of these programs on patient and caregiver well-being, providing valuable evidence of their significance in enhancing the quality of care and support.

Looking ahead, the DIAdIC team is thinking about the next phase of this project. Our focus now shifts to the question of "What's next?

Based on the results we found, we're now figuring out what to do next to make sure the things we learned from the research actually make a real difference in how policies and healthcare work. We want to push for changes in policies that give more importance to and include support services for families dealing with cancer. We strongly think these services should be available to everyone who could use them, making sure every patient and caregiver can get the help they need.

As we go ahead, we're determined to make real changes happen. We want to turn research findings into practical steps, giving people with advanced cancer and their caregivers the right tools and support. By teaming up with others involved, we want to make a future where these helpful programs aren't just known to work but are also a crucial part of complete cancer care. This way, we hope to see better results and greater well-being for both patients with cancer and their family caregivers.
